9/3/2023 0 Comments Pragmata capcomA new Dead Rising feels inevitable, and yet another potential release for 2024. There’s also rumors of a remake of the original Devil May Cry, which, given how well the Resident Evil remakes have done, also seems likely.Ĭapcom Vancouver was shuttered during the development of Dead Rising 5, but fans have been calling for a remake of the original Dead Rising for years. Devil May Cry 5 launched in 2019, and while we’ve certainly waited longer for Devil May Cry sequels in the past, it’s possible the success of 5 means we’ll see the next installment sooner rather than later. There’s a few more games we’re always on the lookout for. The game was one of several shown during todays Capcom Showcase, where it received. It’s likely that Capcom will announce Monster Hunter 6 at either Summer Games Fest or Tokyo Game Show, with a release date sometime next year. Capcoms Pragmata was originally set to release sometime in 2023, but the publisher has now confirmed a delay. Monster Hunter World, which launched in 2018, was the last mainline game in the series, and post-launch support for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak ends this June. 2024 is the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, and last January, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto hinted that Capcom had big plans. One game we can count on in 2024 is the next mainline Monster Hunter. This one may end up not coming out until 2025, but 2024 seems possible. While we haven’t seen anything from the game yet, director Hideaki Itsuno said development was progressing well back in January. The other is Dragon’s Dogma 2, sequel to the cult-classic RPG that was announced last June. It was originally announced to launch in 2023, but given there’s been so little info, this one might slide into 2024. We’ve seen two cinematic trailers for Pragmata but we still don’t know much about the game. The first is Pragmata, a mysterious sci-fi game about an astronaut and a little girl that was revealed at The Game Awards in 2020. Only two Capcom games have been announced to release after Exoprimal launches in July. Capcom doesn’t like to reveal too much too early, and it's rare that we find out about a new game more than a year before it launches, but we already have a lot to go on. It’s a great year for Capcom’s biggest franchises, but based on what we know now, it seems like 2024 could be even bigger.
